LIVONIA, MIch. (WXYZ) — A Detroit man accused of making a fake 911 call is being held on misdemeanor charges.

Police arrested Sheldon Walker during a traffic stop Wednesday night in the area of Wayne and West Chicago Roads in Livonia.

Officers say Walker called dispatch, claiming he was being followed by a man with a gun.

When operators called him back, his phone started ringing in front of police.

Walker is charged with filing a false police report and retail fraud.
