Missing in Michigan event in Livonia helps families of those missing

Missing in Michigan is holding an event on Saturday for Missing Persons Day 2017 to help families find their loved ones who have disappeared.

The event runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Madonna University in Livonia and will be emceed by Anu Prakash.

It is an "ID the missing" event and attendees are asked to bring at least two biological relatives of the missing loved one, any police reports, x-rays or other identifying documents.

Families and friends affected by the disappearance of a loved one and the communities and organizations that assist to bring them home are asked to attend the free event, also open to the public.

There are free child ID kits and more.
