DETROIT (WXYZ) — "It's very important for us to try to figure out where she is and what he's done to her," said Mattie Reynolds whose sister was last seen alive with Deangelo Martin when Ferndale Police drove him and Deborah Reynolds to Detroit.
That was August 3, 2018, and Deborah hasn't been seen since.
Mattie and other relatives believe Martin murdered Deborah not long after Ferndale Police dropped them both off in Detroit on Woodward Avenue near State Fair.
Deangelo Martin appeared in court Thursday for a probable cause hearing. The 34-year-old has been named by Detroit Police as a suspected serial killer in the deaths of three women this year.
Multiple sources have told 7 Action News that DNA also links Martin to the murder of Annetta Nelson who was found strangled in a vacant house in Detroit February 2018.
Detroit Police have said they are investigating whether Martin was involved in the disappearance and presumed murder of Deborah Reynolds.
In December, a body was found just a few blocks away from where Ferndale Police left Deborah and Deangelo Martin.
The wait to find out if it's Deborah's body is agonizing for her family.
"We want her want back," said Deborah's sister, Mattie.
As of right now, Deangelo Martin has been charged with one court of Assault with Intent to Murder and four counts of First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct for an alleged attack on a woman in May in his family's home.
He has been remanded to the Wayne County Jail which means he's being held without bond.
In court Thursday, investigators said they plan to present medical records and they expect to call nine witnesses to the stand in the preliminary examination for the attempted murder case.
That hearing is set for July 16.
