Autopsy results show Mohammed Aljbaili, 72, died as a result of strangulation in the Inkster apartment that he shared with his daughter.
The man's daughter found his body around 9:00 pm Thursday night. But Inkster police suspect her ex-boyfriend forced his way into the apartment around 6:30 pm because that's when neighbors say they heard a scuffle.
Police believe the scuffle that neighbors disregarded was Mohammed Aljbaili fighting for his life after his killer forced his way in through the front door of the second-floor apartment on the 100 block of Cherry Valley Drive.
We're told the daughter's ex-boyfriend had made threats and was recently stalking her at various locations.
Investigators have released a photo of the suspect who is still being sought, but they are not releasing his name at this time.
He could be driving a 2003 black BMW.
If you have any information on the suspect's whereabouts, please call Inkster police or 911 and do not approach him.
