DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) — 7 Action News has learned that a woman and a 10-year-old boy have been killed in an accident with an Inkster police cruiser.
The crash happened at Cherry Hill and Inkster Road, on the border of Inkster and Dearborn Heights.
The investigation is pending review of the dash cam video, black box review and autopsy results

The woman and child were in the car that was hit by the cruiser. Family members say a 45-year-old woman and her 10-year-old son picked up a pizza and visited her daughter at Happys Pizza and were leaving the store at the time of the accident.
When they left the store that’s when they were hit by the inkster police unit. @mspmetrodet PIO is headed to the scene. More information to come

Michigan State Police are taking over the investigation.
