Man charged with carjacking in Dearborn suspected in multiple Detroit carjackings

Thirty-three-year-old Christopher Pinkard was arraigned in a Dearborn court Thursday, charged with carjacking, and armed robbery - among other charges in connection with the carjacking on Sunday outside of a Hookah store.

It happened in the 13100 block of Warren Avenue on Sunday morning around 9:40 a.m.

The victim said that a man dressed in a DTE uniform came up to him, pulled a gun out, pistol whipped him, then demanded he get out of the car.

The suspect drove off, and the victim chased him in his brother's car. The suspect crashed the car in Detroit then took off on foot. 

Pinkard was arrested on Tuesday. He is also a suspect in multiple other carjackings in Detroit
