A 7-year-old child in Lincoln Park is awaiting a replacement wheelchair after a thief was caught on video stealing his on Father's Day.
The footage, which was first seen on Facebook, is now being reviewed by the police.
The child's father, Dustin Offord, tells 7 Action News the thief has also been breaking into nearby cars on the street.
The crime took place near O'Connor and Dix.
"We noticed the footage on video after we were reviewing it to find out who was smashing into cars," says Offord.
He tells us his son also relies on the wheelchair to get around due to a physical condition.
The child and his family want the thief and any accomplices caught before they victimize someone else.
