A man was shot at an apartment complex in Riverview Monday night, police say.
Officers responded to the 19000 block of Greentrees Apartments where it was reported that a shot had been fired and a woman was yelling.
Police arrived and were unable to locate the source of the alleged shot or woman. Officers spoke with a witness who said he saw a gray Chevrolet leaving the complex soon after the shot and yelling.
Later, police received a call from Beaumont Hospital in Trenton saying a gray Chevrolet had just dropped off a 22-year-old man from Riverview with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Officers identified the suspect as a 27-year-old woman from Riverview, who was taken into custody. A 9 mm semi-automatic handgun was recovered from the gray Chevrolet, police say.
The victim is in critical, but stable condition, officers say.
