(WXYZ) — Registration is now open for the first-ever Bob Ross-themed virtual race.

The "Happy Little 5K/Run for the Trees" virtual race honors Bob Ross and is part of the DNR's partnership with Bob Ross Inc.

The run is a virtual race, which means you can do it wherever, and it doesn't matter how you reach the finish line, running, walking, hiking or some other way. It just has to be completed between April 17-26, which encompasses Earth Day and Arbor Day.

It costs $34 and registrants will get a Happy Little T-shirt, commemorative bib number and an awesome finisher's medal.

The proceeds, about $10 from each registration, will go toward planting Happy Little Trees in Michigan state parks.

The response was so large that instead of only registering 1,000 people, they upped it to $25,000.

There will also be several meet-ups for running with friends. They can be found here and you can also register at this link.
