(WXYZ) — It started with three people meeting through an online app, one moving from Texas, then all three spending a week at a Romulus home before the homeowner noticed something wasn't adding up – the real age of a young teenager.
A room was built inside a mobile home in Romulus for 25-year-old Zachary Worley from Texas. He's charged with child pornography and enticing a minor.
Federal prosecutors say it all started on the social app MeetMe. Worley, using the name "TrippinonLSD," started a relationship with a 15-year-old girl from Oakland County, whose profile says 19 years old.
They shared explicit videos and pictures.
The man identified as "CW-1" by prosecutors also met the two online and invited Worley to stay in his Romulus home.
Worley brought along the teen and they stayed in a makeshift room for a week. However, the homeowner says red flags started popping up.
After the underage girl went back to her dad's home for a few days, CW-1 eventually gave them an ultimatum – show him identification or get out.
That same day, CW-1 decided to act by getting the girl's father involved. The state police then got involved. Worley is now also charged with giving the teen LSD and he allegedly told investigators that they had sex with her on Valentine's Day.
