Megan Lee joined the 7 News Detroit team in June of 2026 as a general assignment reporter and is beyond happy to be home in Metro Detroit.
She was born and raised in Royal Oak. Megan earned a degree in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts at Central Michigan University. She is a proud graduate of CMU. Fire Up Chips!
After graduation, she packed up her belongings and moved to Youngstown, OH. She worked at WKBN/WYTV. She wore many hats at her first job, starting as a multimedia journalist. After about three months in Youngstown, she became the evening weekend anchor on WKBN.
Most recently, Megan worked as a reporter at the Scripps Station, TMJ4, in Milwaukee. She covered the NFL Draft in Green Bay, the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee and many other important stories in the cheese state! She ate one too many cheese curds while living there.
When she’s away from the station, she enjoys cooking, working out, spending time with family and traveling. She loves her trips down south to Charleston, South Carolina the most!
