INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — A 5-year-old girl from Sterling Heights drowned in a pool in Oakland County Friday evening, deputies say.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. at the Deer Lake Athletic Club on White Lake Road near Dixie Highway in Independence Township.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is investigating. Additional details have not yet been released.
