DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police and Southfield police are investigating a shooting involving two Jeeps that occurred on the border of the two communities.
It happened at 8 Mile and Lahser. Police say a white Jeep exited a pawnshop parking lot, where someone inside opened fire on a black Jeep at the intersection.
The driver of the black Jeep was gravely wounded and taken to the hospital. Police say he is not expected to survive.
The white Jeep then took off from the scene. The exact make and model isn't known. There is no description of the driver.
The victim hasn't not been identified. He is described a heavy set, lighter skinned black man.
The motive for the shooting isn't known. However, police say the found a bag of what appears to be marijana on the floorboard of the black Jeep.
The investigation is ongoing.
