ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WXYZ) — A registered sex offender is facing a felony charge for allegedly exposing himself to a minor at a ice rink.

Royal Oak police arrested Graham John Gilpin, 60, of Eastpointe.

Gilpin is accused of going to the John Lindell Memorial Area around 3:30 p.m. December 10th.

Investigators say he snuck into a youth locker room and got naked from the waist down in front of a 13-year-old boy.

"It was just the two of them in there and he proceeded to get undressed," Lieutenant Al Carter said. "He asked the minor a couple of questions, general questions. Who are you here with? Did you get dropped off?"

An employee recognized Gilpin, who was wearing a toupee and escorted him out of the locker room and called police, according to Lt. Carter.

Investigators say Gilpin signed in under a fake name for a stick and puck session.

Gilpin is charged with indecent exposure by a sexually delinquent person and misdemeanor trespassing.

He was arraigned at the 44th District Court and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
