William Powers says Cygnus held the Guinness World Record with a 17.5 inch long tail. His housemate, Arcturus, stands 20 inches tall, and was also a world record holder.
Powers' home in the 34000 block of Quaker Valley Lane was destroyed by a fire in November. William and his wife were able to get out safely.
Since then, Powers and fire officials have been searching the house. They discovered the bodies of the cats Wednesday.
